Olá!

I recently relocated to Porto, Portugal, and I'm looking to connect with the arts communities in Porto and Lisbon.

As a little background, it can be helpful to know that I:

  • am professionally trained,

  • can choreograph on the spot,

  • have experiences in stage, TV, movie, and directing, and

  • am socially comfortable in many situations.

Matt Warner
Bio

Matt hails from the United States, where he honed his craft in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballroom, Hip Hop, and Musical Theater. His journey included training and performing with Utah's Odyssey Dance Theater, as well as New York City's Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. These engagements led him to tour Europe with both companies. Matt's talents have shone on both the small and big screens in the United States, evidenced by his work on FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance" and MTV's "American Mall." His versatile performance skills extend to both on and off Broadway, having graced the stage with the Radio City Rockettes and the innovative dance company iLuminate.

Dedicated to the evolution of dance and its cinematic representation, Matt thrives on developing, training, and facilitating the progress of creative concepts. In collaboration with Shauna Oliverio, he crafted a full-length contemporary show inspired by the 1931 film "City Lights," starring Charlie Chaplin. His repertoire also includes numerous independent film projects that spotlight dance.

Having recently relocated to Porto with his family, Matt is eager to immerse himself in the rich tapestry of art that Portugal has to offer.

"The slow ooze of Phillips’ movement made maximum use of [Matt's] considerable stature and acutely sensitive articulation." -Lynn Colburn Shapiro
